The Pointe

The Pointe is one of Australia’s leading dance and artistry coaching services. We provide high quality training to students of dance and gymnastics, focussing on both artistry and technical capability. The young people we work with are typically highly motivated and are looking to take their skills to the next level and set themselves apart when it comes to competitions and auditions.

Whilst the training is bespoke, and adapted for each individual, it is grounded in traditional classical ballet technique. The coaching combines Performance Pilates, Technique Drills, Rehab Conditioning, Traditional Technique coaching (classical and jazz) and Choreography. This approach has demonstrated unprecedented improvements in participants, with many students going on to successful professional careers.

Whilst our ultimate goal is to prepare dancers and gymnasts to compete and perform at the highest professional levels, we are dedicated to achieving this whilst at the same time ensuring that the physical and mental well-being of these young performers remains paramount.

Tailored online technique and Performance Pilates coaching for dancers and gymnasts. Whilst working online in 2020, Mikki has achieved incredible results in coaching online with students working on their technique and conditioning. These sessions are suitable for:

The Pointe offers small group online programs, focussed on Performance Pilates and Technique training for dancers.  The Program is designed to improve flexibility, posture, turn out, strength, power and specific dance skills such as turns and jumps. The online format is highly effective, ensuring that every student is visible to the instructor throughout the whole class. Students require only a small area within which to move at home to participate in the classes, which include safe stretching, Pilates exercises, PBT syllabus and technique drills for turns and jumps. After each class students are given homework activities which help them quickly reach their goals. This program will either be run directly through The Pointe or can be arranged through studios and clubs, and will be made up of minimum 5 students- maximum 12. It is suitable for dancers of all ages and levels.
